Design, Manufacture and Installation of High Quality Drum and IBC Reconditioning Systems, IBC and Drum Washing

STEEL DRUM RECONDITIONING LINEUniversal Baler
Since its formation in 1992, Hull-based DRUMTECH has become established as a leading specialist in the design, manufacture and installation of high quality drum reconditioning systems. Today the Company supplies the needs of clients throughout the World and has gained an impressive reputation for the quality of service and technical expertise.

The Challenger DRUMTECH division has the skills and resources to produce reconditioning systems precisely suited to the needs of the client; from simple 20-drum per hour labour intensive plants to fully automated systems capable of reconditioning more than 200 drums every hour.

The benefits of drum reconditioning are extensive and Companies seeking a more efficient, economical and environmentally friendly option are increasingly adopting DRUMTECH's systems. Their use brings major savings as reconditioned drums cost up to forty-percent less than new ones and drums can usually be reconditioned up to ten times before ending their useful life. In addition, DRUMTECH manufactures automated handling equipment for loading drums and other containers and all equipment is produced in accordance with current legislation.

DRUMTECH's steel drum reconditioning systems are simple to operate, are outstandingly cost effective and are capable of undertaking every aspect of the reconditioning process; from pre-washing of drums to flush out the bulk of the contaminates or heavy residue, through to de-denting, testing, painting and screen printing.

PLASTIC DRUM and RECONDITIONING LINE
Over recent years, economic and environmental considerations have brought about an ever increasing demand for either the reuse or the recycling of plastic containers.

The Challenger DRUMTECH division has responded to this challenge by developing a system capable of handling plastic containers, from 25-litre to 205-litre capacity and above, and preparing them for re-use or disposal.

The modular system features a flushing machine for washing those containers that can be reused and can include a shredding system to either provide a better return or to provide a safe disposal of others to landfill. A granulator can also be incorporated to enable a larger proportion of the shredded plastic to be recovered for reprocessing into a new moulded product.

Bespoke applications for unusual containers are a Company speciality.

I.B.C. RECONDITIONING LINE
DRUMTECH has developed and advanced modular system, which prepares I.B.C. containers for reuse. This modular system is adaptable for particular applications and it can be readily extended as demand increases.

These lines can be automated to suit the clients' production requirement and comprises separate modules to flush and contain contaminates including a pre-drainage facility, then to power wash the containers using an optional detergent injection if necessary and to provide a rinse. The I.B.C.'s then go onto a drying station. The drying is completed by means of both a siphon system and hot air blowers and finally, onto a leak testing station to comply with UN standards.

The I.B.C. reconditioning line can be supplied to process as few as twenty I.B.C.'s per shift right through to eighty I.B.C.'s per shift and mechanical handling equipment can be added should the clients' production levels demands it.
