Dumb Waiters / Under Bar Lifts
| Challenger manufactures a wide range of lift machinery for the industrial, manufacturing, commercial and service industries. Capacities range from 4000kg to 50kg and are supplied to suit individual applications regarding size, capacity and type of drive. Dumb Waiter Lifts are mainly used by the licensed / food trade to transport food and beverages from preparation areas to the serving area and transport dirty items back to the preparation / washing area They alleviate the need for operators to walk between different floors and deliver the contents at an ergonomically pre-set height for ease of loading / unloading. Under Bar lifts are used to transport food and beverages from a preparation area to the underside of a serving bar with a restricted floor area. Dumb Waiters / Under Bar lifts are manufactured in food grade stainless steel with options for single entry / exit or through car entry / exit. Doors are bifurcated and an optional inner shelf can be provided. These lifts can be supplied with either a 50kg or 100kg capacity. The lifts are supplied as a self supporting structure and only require fixing at each floor level. The maximum travel is 4000mm between floors. Both landings have a pushbutton call station with floor indication lamps and landing doors are 2 hour fire rated. The lifts are driven by a sprocket and chain drive which is mounted in a machine room at the top of the lift structure. This is accessible from the top floor. Challenger Dumb Waiters and Under Bar Lifts comply with current European Machinery Regulations and are supplied with a C E mark and an operation manual.
