Automatic Paint Station
| The Challenger Drumtech Automatic Paint Booth provides the best paint finish for steel drums with the capability of one to three colours and centre banding if required. The number of colour applications for each drum depends on the number of paint pumps supplied. The paint system is usually a hot airless application to give optimum control over the paint thickness and quality. Drums are automatically fed into the machine and are transferred automatically whilst retaining separation. At the application station the drum is rotated and automatic guns fire in sequence to apply the desired finish. Each gun has a timer control to cater for colour and paint viscosity variations. The booth uses a high efficiency waterfall to collect the over spray and prevents its discharge to atmosphere in accordance with current EU environmental regulations. It is strongly advised that high solid, low solvent paints are used. |
